Baked Pears with Blue Cheese, Fig, Walnuts, and Honey
This week's recipe is a delicious summertime dessert perfect for the lighter meals we share with friends when the weather is warm. Sweet and savoury, it goes beautifully with all types of meals, especially after a nice board of cheeses and charcuterie!
Ingredients:
  • 4 Bartlett or Anjour Pears, halved and cored
  • Our Miellerie Leatherwood Honey to Drizzle

  • 4-6 Tbsp. of our Bleu D’Auvergne Cheese

  • 2-3 Tbsp. of Fig and Walnuts spread
  • Chopped Walnuts
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil for Drizzling
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions:

1. Heat the oven to 190 C

2. On a lined baking sheet, lay the pear halves cut-side up. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.

3. Bake the pears for about 20 minutes.

4. Take the pears out of the oven and fill each half Walnut and Fig spread, then with Blue Cheese. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes.

5. Remove the pears from the oven and let sit for about 3 minutes. Add chopped walnuts on top and drizzle with honey. Serve one half to each guest.

6. Enjoy!
